  1. I have two shops in Maryland, one has AC the other does not. When the temperatures soar, the production in the unairconditioned shop definitely suffers. (Even the younger techs struggle when sweat is pouring off their heads and their uniforms are soaked). We have multiple swamp coolers which are okay if the temps are 85 and below with reasonable humidity, but the old norms of our summer climate seem to be fading and its getting hotter each year. I plan to install central air in the the other shop this year. It will add to the overhead, however the increase in productivity and morale will outweigh the utility bill.
  2. Awesome video and fantastic idea Larry! I saw a similar post on another forum recently as well. I just may try this myself. I am always looking for an edge over the local competition, and this can be another feather in our cap so to speak. thank you for sharing!
  3. Hello everyone! Essex Maryland here. Currently $109 and going to $114 on Feb1. Still probably too low, but we are incrementally moving northward.
  4. Thank you for the feedback. I am from outside the industry and purchased an existing repair shop in March of 2021. I have upgraded the Mitchell package to include the CRM and texting feature, however still feel it is lacking. One of my goals for 2022 is to upgrade our technology to something that has better reporting, includes DVIR's and can help with efficiency and shop flow.
  5. I am in the same boat. We use Mitchell1, however I am not too impressed with its features and functionality. Definitely interested in what other shop owners think about their POS / CRM systems.
