  1. I have an I-Phone IV and AT&T. The reason I have it is if you have wi-fi you can facetime someone else who has a I-Phone and wi-fi. Now my wife can walk around our house and talked to my daughter and grandkids in Tennessee and see their faces while they talk. That is why I have an I-Phone. Otherwise I would probably still have my old Razor.
  2. Today's generation has had most things given to them and do not understand what it is like to not have that.
  3. Do you ever think we will reach a point that the consumer says give us something plain and simple without all of the gizmos, something that is not as complicated or as expensive to repair?
  4. God bless our veterans living and otherwise. I had a great uncle who I knew and talked to when he was in his 90's who fought in the trenches in World War I. He was wounded and received a steel plate in his head. The doctors said he would not live beyond his 30's but he lived into his 90's. Mentally he was sharp as a tack and he told me of being engaged in charges over the top across no man's land. !

  6. Good to have you Chris! Good Luck!
  7. Ever had a wheel fall off??? I refuse to answer on the grounds that it might incriminate me. When I was a lot younger and more stupid I actually had the wheel fall off of my car while I was driving because the guy who repaired our flat tire didn't tighten it down properly. No real damage occured but it was very inconvemient since there was 8 inches of snow on the ground and I was in the middlle of no where. Joe that is an excellent QC procedure.
  8. We are not in the rust belt but we see quite have been told that the liquid (is it beet juice) they are now using is more corrosive than salt.
  9. Communication in this business is a big challenge. One thing I have learned from this forum is to quit filtering information or writing down my own conclusions on the work order. I am now trying to put down exactly what the custimer tells me even if it sounds a little weird. That way there is no mixing up of the information from the customer, to me, to my technician.
  10. But I bet you wife doesn't think it is funny!
  11. Thank God for generators. I have one but hope I don't need to use it anytime soon.
  12. My wife says she knew of some Nolans but wasn't personally acquainted. Did they live around Hiram? What kind of business were you on in Evansville?
  13. My wife is from Harlan County (Cumberland). I have spent time in Barbourville although it has been a few years.
  14. Wellcome to the forum. We are glad to have you and I am sure that I speak for all of us in that we will help however we can. Fire away with questions. Where in Kentucky are you located?
  15. Incredible. In the high 60's here today. Hope it melts soon.
  16. Frog is correct. Using a decent pad, resurfacing all rotors, making sure the hardware is all there and working properly, making sure calipers slides are free, and educating the customer about break in all go towards a noise free brake job. However, you still occasionally get a problem vehicle but i suspect the issue lies more with the style of the driver than with the brake job.
  17. This is another good one Gonzo. My daddy always used a ten penny nail to tighten up a loose clamp. He never had the time, money, or interest in doing anything right.
  18. THank you Joe! I am very blessed. 9 grandchildren in all.
  19. This is my youngest grandaughter: Sophia Marie Jones This is my son. He has a small farm with chickens. He built the chicken house and made the rails and built the split rail fence. 20. Yes, that was in my shop and it happened about three hours before we were having a shop fullof ladies for a women's seminar. The flip up foot picture just snapped for no reason and caused this to happen. Fortunately no one was injured and the damage was minimal. Less than $2,000.
