The biggest thing I have seen is its very hard on smaller engines (lawn mowers and such) Fuel economy is worse with the ethanol. Great waste of government money to force something that the consumer doesn't need IMO

The only ethenol related issues we see is if a vehicle is sitting for a long time then it seems to absorb alot of moisture and corrode easily.

Yes. We have seen fuel mileage issues and hot soak starting issues that on older cars. B)

I have heard a lot of complaints from people over 10% ethanol fuel, but I haven't had any issues, and two of my vehicles are still carbureted, my trucks EFI is from the early 90s, and my everyday driver was built around 10% ethanol as the standard. My seasonal equipment (weed eater, lawn mowers, ATV) have always been hard to start after storing regardless of ethanol in the fuel or not.

Could it be that ethanol is just a scapegoat for other underlying issues with vehicles? I don't know, I am just speculating.

i have customers walking in all the time NEEDING something for the ethanol. i however have never had an issue with it (98 jimmy with a 4.3, and a 94 s10 with a 67 283 with TBI).
